Dave takes pride in all the work that he does, whether it’s providing technology solutions to clients, advising on technical accounting and tax strategies, or issuing valuation reports to coincide with his client’s succession and general business plans.
He has a very team-oriented approach when it comes to working alongside his own colleagues, but also his clients and their trusted team of advisors. He becomes invested in his clients’ success, celebrating milestones and helping them to make strategic decisions based on accurate financial information, while being sensitive to their immediate needs and long-term goals.
A St. Joseph’s University graduate, Dave went on to obtain not only his CPA license but also his CVA designation. Prior to accounting, he found himself working in a wide variety of industries. This adaptable nature allowed him to excel in the exciting world of public accounting by working with start-ups, non-profit organizations, and for-profit entities including general contractors, manufacturers, and professional service providers. He enthusiastically works with new businesses and enjoys fusing creativity with client engagement to enhance the overall experience.
When Dave is not actively supporting his clients’ success, he enjoys creating music and embracing life with his wife and kids.
A major force in our Delaware demographic, Kathy is hugely popular with her clients due to her responsiveness and great energy. She has created and maintained strong relationships with her clients and takes pride in the trust and confidence she has earned by providing excellent service.
With over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry, Kathy’s favorite aspects of her career are problem-solving and helping clients develop and maintain efficiencies in running their business. Kathy is a St. Joseph’s University alumna and has spent over half of her career working in our Wilmington office (formerly known as Cetrulo & Morgan). While her clients are in a variety of industries, she has been particularly influential in the development of our healthcare and startup niches.
Before settling in Delaware, Kathy spent four years living in Puerto Rico. She is passionately family-oriented and loves spending her free time outdoors with her husband, three kids and daughter-in-law, as well as her 12-year-old dog, Hailey. Named after the hailstorm she was driven home in—punny!—Hailey is the best work-from-home co-worker and has deemed herself Kathy’s designated shadow.
The tech guru (and funny guy) of the group, AJ has proven himself to be creative, determined, and resourceful. He likes to apply these skills in figuring out and implementing new ways to handle processes by taking advantage of the ever-changing and improving world of application software and technology.
A Salisbury University graduate, AJ was attracted to the accounting profession due to its notoriety as the language of business. He enjoys gaining insight into how different companies and industries operate; yet despite their differences, so many of the same principles are applied throughout. He is not afraid to think outside of the box when it comes to challenging the status quo if he thinks it can lead to an improved process for a company.
AJ is known around the firm as a diehard Philadelphia sports fan, despite growing up in six different states and Japan! When he is not watching a game, he enjoys spending time with his fiancé, family, and friends by taking road trips, watching movies, taking long walks on the beach, and occasionally getting caught in the rain (we told you he is the funny guy).
Priding herself on her reliability, Margie is an incredibly responsible, hardworking member of the team. A graduate of Pierce Junior College, Margie has spent 27 years in the accounting industry and is the resident payroll tax and Peachtree software expert.
Margie was drawn to the accounting profession due to her love of numbers. She appreciates the aspect of being able to see the accounting process for a business from start (providing the day-to-day back office support for the client) to finish (finalizing the financials for the year and assisting with the beginning phases of the tax return). Margie is extremely dedicated to her clients who are grateful for her superb communication skills.
Outside of the firm, Margie enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and three kids: whether they are going to the beach or watching sports. Apart from her accounting expertise, Margie is the Philadelphia Phillies encyclopedia—ask her a fact and she will know it!
As enthusiastic about accounting as one gets, Caroline is very organized and highly dedicated to both Stephano Slack and her clients. Originally an HR major, Caroline discovered her love for accounting in an Intro to Accounting elective course and just like that, her HR aspirations were over.
She is a lover of numbers and solving puzzles, which accounting combines. A Colorado State University Global Campus alumna, Caroline is heavily involved in working with the firm’s biotech startups. She relates well with her clients and tries to make sure that each one of them feels like they are her only client, despite being one of many. She also finds journal entries to be fun, but who doesn’t? In her downtime, Caroline can be found torturing her husband, an IT guy, by explaining riveting accounting concepts to him.
Despite her appearance of living and breathing all things accounting, she does have other hobbies including shopping, working out, reading, writing and watching TV. Apart from her close family and friends, Caroline can be found spending time with her personal zoo: currently with four dogs, a cat, two parrots, two guinea pigs, and two ducks.
